Bliss of Identity

Yesterday, first time I chanced upon Aurobindo's (for me verifying)  poem titled:  Bliss of Identity and decided to  post it today with the intention it may be of some assistance to someone who is undergoing Kundalini Shakti awakening.  This path is not for the faint of heart  and perchance just knowing someone else in this modern era  experienced Her Cosmic makeovers  survied the ordeals may be helpful.
But first this thought. . .
I had unsolicited Kundali Shakti awakening  and I didn't have anyone to reach out to for guidance.  I didn't  study any of the mystical traditions and had no clue what was happening to me then  and what to expect later.
 For example:
I didn't know what that was about when one day in the middle of the day in my living room, in 1990, according to my frightened husband my head "was like the sun and I couldn't see you"  (for several minutes).   During the 'discussion'  we were both standing. At some point he walked away and sat down on the furthest side of the sofa in the opposite end of the room ... and  with short glances in my direction and shooing-away hand gestures, pleaded: "Don't do that I can't see you".
 He wanted me to be  happy  and enjoy our family live -- which I did! He was my best friend and the best  husband in the world, still a big part of me agonized  over  the injustice and suffering of  so MANY beings world-wide.   My,  "WHAT IS REAL TRUTH AND BEAUTY!!!?"  -  was a cry I had no answers too. It was maddening to feel so helpless.

In  Summer 1994, by sheer fluke I discovered blue ribbon of light next to me skin and a golden light-aura around my head and body (and still have my journal notes). At the time it didn't occur to me one day I will be writing about in public domain.
This is why I was very glad to see  (many years later)  Aurobindo's words on the nature of the uncreated Light:

The sun stands universally for the supramental Light, the divine Gnosis. 

(This is the)   Power of the inner or higher Truth. There are different Suns in different planes each with its own colour.

On occasion, when the world's burden is overwhelming  and Energy work is draining, I have been known to plead the visible to my eye of contemplation eye-dazzling  white Light (sphere) to 'help restore my strength'.... and it happened!  Cosmic Tonglen work is the hardest job on the planet because it is a 24/7 thing.  This thought just  occurred to me  .... strictly speaking my body doesn't belong to me any more.

Kosmic Synchronicity & Confirmation

Guardians of Deep Mysteries are performing the Will of the one God-Spirit for the benefit of all being in all domains of creation and, "the great consciousness looking out through the eyes of every sentient being and in identity with all of the Kosmos." - Ken Wilber's quote.
I have a moral duty to obey the inner call of my vocation and bring to the world's Mystical table the Correct information on what happens at the highest of the perfection stages (integration of all dualities). Will begin by reminding the spiritual aspirant:
"Open your soul to the Eternal - but it must be eternal that draws forth your strength and beauty, not desire for growth. For in one case you develop in the luxurance of purity, in the other you harden by the forcible for personal stature". . .This, penned by an unknown to me author statement, resonated with me one hundred percent since I never wished to be 'spiritual' in the first place.

 I discovered within the depth of my interiority, that the deepest possible connection with the Supreme Divine in all its aspects and beyond aspects,is revealed to the awakened awareness of one's eternal self-Soul at the zenith-point of Her evolution. We assure people that our True Soul / Goddess Living Light - whose essence is same as the Supreme Beloved's - was never born and is (therefore) untouched by death and corruption. This type of Knowingness is grounded in multidimensional evolution into wholeness and transcendence, and comes on line (is unveiled to us) via Divine Grace. And, 'when everything is ready', we bear witness to the fact that the Universal Christ Principle  is both immanent, and also transcendent.
Supramental Yogic science specialist collects and evaluates the evidence, and checks the results with those who have adequately navigated and integrated all dualities.

Gopi Krishna writes: "All the great mystics who have written on this subject have given their own symptoms openly and plainly. That is the tradition, and from their descriptions, can compare one's own condition."

We know that the Mystery of the Ineffable unveils itself to the living Soul. . .We know that genuine encouters with Divine Presence are transformative.
The closer the Goddess Living Light gets to its Source
The purer the Water of Gnosis.

Marguerite Porete, in her own words bears witness to same:
"Such a soul, says Love, swims in the sea of joy, that is in the sea of delight flowing and streaming from the Divinity and she feels no joy without feeling any joy, for she dwells in joy and joy dwells in her; for through the power of joy she is herself joy, which has changed her into itself."
Marguerite was burnt at the stake for refusing to take her book titled: The Mirror of Simple Souls from circulation. She offended the powers that be by declaring: "Reason, you'll always be half-blind."

My post titled Solar Hear Initiation,  describes what transpired during one particular  Initiation,  and was very glad to finally  have Aurobindo's  confirmation on why/how such a thing is possible:
If the soul of man is to go beyond humanity to reach either a supramental or still higher states, it must pass out of this cosmic existence, either to a plane or world of knowledge or into the unmanifest Eternal and Infinite.  +  By "void" is meant emptiness clear of all content except existence pure and simple. Without that one cannot realise the silent Brahman. + The silence can remain when the blankness has gone. All sorts of things can pour in and yet the silence still remains, but if you become full of force, light, Ananda, knowledge etc., you cannot call yourself blank any longer.

Because my 'cosmic synchronicity' Initiation event included the experience of a descent of Supramental/Divine Peace, Light and Bliss, and a Vision of and an encounter with the uncreated Sun Principle and its Power,  I am happy to include   Aurobindo's teaching of this subject - from Letters on Yoga / Triple Transformation:

When you see Light, this is Vision. The vision signifies future realization. When you feel Light entering into you, that is experience; When the Light settles in you and brings illumination and knowledge, this is realization. Repetition of experience leads to realization.
And this:
The psychic and spiritual transformation are within our mental conception. The supramental has a radically different awareness of things. Mentality cannot know its nature. It can only be known via the spiritualised mind. It can only begin to understand Supermind when we have connected to spiritualised mind.  Our personal endeavour and aspiration cannot reach Supermind; ours is the life of ignorance.
The higher spiritual planes create their own formulations in the subliminal in the depths within us, but Overmind and Supermind have not been organized in the inner subliminal of the human.
To know them too, Supermind must descend into us. In the ascent and descent about which I have written in The Life Divine, the whole being - you may call it the Self goes say, to the Overmind, settles there and meets the Divine and then the descent of the Divine takes place. +
For real transformation there must be a direct and unveiled intervention from above: there would be necessary too a total submission and surrender of the lower consciousness, a cessation of its insistence , a will in it for its separate law of action to be completed by transformation and lose rights, over one's being.  (The Life Divine)

 Description of what a   'face-to-face meeting with the Divine' was like for me circa 1995.  I was in bed (on my side) alone when I  became aware of someone's  presence behind me and turned around - and with the eye of contemplation beheld the presence of a very beautiful 'Asian' looking Woman tenderly gazing at me. I knew She was "ignored" and asked, "What's your name?" ... "Kwan Yin, do you like me?" ....  "Oh yes", I uttered.  Next instant, I watched Her walk over to the foot of the bed in a room filled-to-brim with swirling White Light. . .It's when I became aware of my light as feather body's sensation of (literally) flowing within a stream of a type of Bliss that surpasses human comprehension.  During this most precious Goddess Essence Transmission's flow into every cell of my body, I heard myself moan a little due to the inexplicable intensity of the Bliss factor. . .Afterwards, Bhakti tears sealed this sacred 'deal'.

I am happy to say that Aurobindo confirms for us what the White Light signifies:
"The white light is a manifestation of pure Divine Force descending from one of the Truth-planes leading to the Supramental." + "There are incarnationss or emanation of living and conscious Forces with whom we can eneter into concrete touch." + "If mankind only caught a glimps of what infinite enjoyments, what perfect forces, what wide claims of your being lie waiting for us in the tracts which our animal evolution has not yet conquered, they would leave all and never rest till they had gained these treasures."

 I learned long after my face-to-face with Kwan Yin event, that The Upanishads lists ten ascending levels of bliss, before one reaches the Bliss of the Eternal Spirit,  "and each level a hundredfold the intensity of the previous level.

In every case of illumination, mere visionary experience is not sufficient. It must be attended by certain objective signs to confirm it. + It has to be remembered that in the mystical ecstasy the intellect remains active. There is no blunting of the rational faculty. This is repeatedly mentioned in the Upanishads. Reason has to be satisfied that the experience is not a delusion. 

I talk about my experiences with the intention  to affirm that this same Light-Force-Bliss is within the depths of every being.
Mystics share their  stories to assure every being (that)  what happened to me can be repeated in you, also.
And while at it, I want to bear witness to a type of synchronicity that made me gasp,  when first time my flesh eyes beheld the painted image of the  transfigured  Christ.  And what exactly is the correct explanation of 'synchronicity'? I like  Ken Wilber's description: (it is):  "a natural  part of the evolutionary fabric of the universe - a direct experience of the self-organizing self-transcending currents or Eros-at-play, forever turning in all quadrants simultaneously."

Brief account:  I was watching BBC documentary on Leonardo daVinchi's lost for centuries then rediscovered, restored, and exhibited in 2011 painting. He presented the painting-image  of Salvator Mundi, to the king of France.
The part that took my breath away was the image of a "crystal sphere" resting in the Redeemer's/ Christ's left hand (his right  hand raised in benediction).  . .I gasped because the same-looking crystal sphere entered my chest with a loud  burst-like pop sound during my Solar Heart Initiation few years before the painting was restored and exhibited.

Aurobindo confirmed for me that: 'the Sun is the symbol and power of the inner or higher Truth and stands universally for the Supramental Light, the divine Gnosis.' & "A crystal of the ultimate absolute, A portion of the inexpressible Truth Reveald by the silence to the silence" - line from Sri A's epic poem Savitri, 1, 3.

Dream Yoga

I share what  I learned  from my adventures in Consciousness  during all states (subtle, causal, nondual).  Being perfectly awake in the boundary-dissolving dream state began when I was a girl-child.  I recall vividly still,  trying to  learn how to stand on air by stepping off a chair - and succeeding! I taught myself how to fly too. I learned from first hand experiences that certain 'nightmares' stimulate psychic responses and create psycho-emotional healing by safely releasing pent-up energy of fear or rage. 

In my  Spiritual Advisor voice, few pointers:

We come to raise you above the limitations  of pain and grief...We  try to educate , but also know when to let go.  All of us are on the journey whether we call it that, or not.  Conscious Spiritual Hero follows its Heart and Vision, always.
We wish  to remind you, that significant dreams  are like messengers who invite  us to  see there is  something very  real in  their message.  Those events are the  containers which house the subtlety of meaning, but  is up to us to notice  that. . .All experiences  appear to be 'out there' , but if we look deeper  everything we see in the 3D world, in  sleep/dream states  and (awake) during Yogic sleep state, takes place in our  consciousness...this is why we can 'work' with them.

If remembered, some dreams are nothing but mambo-jumbo of unconscious processes.
 Others, form the 'significant category' dreams, are  like open windows  inviting us to step into subtler, deeper  dimensions and 'read' their content with a 'higher mind'.
We must be able to discriminate between  one's mind dive into its subconscious and its 'formations', and the subtle body's 'messages'.
Waking up in the world behind this world  can be disorienting to the not yet fully awakened awareness. One who aspires to become 'awake' has the option  to willingly explore the contours of the psyche  through  non-ordinary states of consciousness, will succeed.  Buddhists  call this practice "dream yoga".
All are on this journey even if we don't pay attention to the inner world...Those who pay attention, know that our  depth reveals a 'bigger story', which  gives us  the courage to live bigger and braver  lives  (once our psychological landscape gets cleaned up/healed).  Often times the darker niches of our psyche release scary images,  and our instinct is to run away from it -  in the same manner we run away  in waking life  from our insecurities - but possible (been there, done that).  It takes courage to keep keeping on even when the going gets difficult.
It's hard to  admit  that we may indeed be filled with violence and pride.
It's  hard to admit we harbor within our mind and heart  bitterness,  jealousy,  resentment ,  that  there is selfishness .... and that we thirst for  worldly power.

Our Heroic selves, out of compassion, look courageously at those uncouth traits and admit  'this is our karmic lot', and  decide to give ourselves permission  to not blame others for our not exactly  pure as freshly fallen snow personalities.
Don't  wait for others to change first . . .They may be pushing your sensitive buttons, but this is your life, your Soul's journey,  wait not for anyone to do the heavy lifting for you.
It is up to us to take responsibility for our psycho-emotional healing.
If you can afford it, find a good psychotherapist  to help you sort things out.

Draw inspiration from Prayer, or spiritual literature ...
Know, that the Master in you (your highest Self/God - the same Master which is in me also)  waits patiently for your co-operation.
When you truly recognize  the Significance and Meaning of this message, you will move forward with a song of Gratitude in your heart.

Supra-Cosmic BrideGroom Has My Back!

The apex-point of one's Soul's journey of transformation and integration of the highest planes of consciousness, includes receiving a direct and unveiled 'intervention' from the above. This Grace-given 'intervention' is the descent of Supramental Consciousness upon the Soul - which 'is more ruthless than Love and happier than heaven' (to borrow Sri Aurobindo's words) - by which the Knowing Self directly comprehends its 'status' and the nature of the Ultimate Reality. Such a thing is possible because the spiritual form Luminescent with transcendental luster, transcends the confines of its gross and subtle material bodies. . .
This happens at the post-enlightenment stage - and includes all types of experiences: Such as:
This AM hour (in Yogic awake sleep), the Sho who moves in an ocean of Divine Bliss, stood in a very high structure looking out the window gazing lovingly, knowingly, at the sight of two magnificent White Horses in full gallop advancing towards me. . .Before my very eyes the Stallion morphed into a most handsome Beloved, and we fell into each other's arms floating within the Stream-Light of perfectly braided Bliss/LoveMelody.

What it the significance-meaning of this type of encounter?
The 'me' standing in the window of a very high structure, is the Witnessing awareness bearing witness to what Divine Bliss is/signifies. The White Horse is the symbol of the Purity and Power of the Soul in her Ultimate Freedom state. . .The transcendent Beloved yields to one who is ready to receive its Bliss-Strength.

(By whatever name) God is the Symbol-maker, and the fully awake mystic recognizes the subtlety of meaning couched within these types of experiences.
In Sri Aurobindo's words on symbols which I second: 'A symbol, as I understand it, is the form on one plane that represents a truth of another'.

It is worth remembering there are many ascending levels of spiritual bliss and the highest of all stations, is reached when the Union of the Soul with the Essence/Bliss of the Absolute Supreme, is complete. This is what God-Realization is about in the embodied sense. This is what the Ultimate Consummation of the Soul with the Essence of the Supreme Beloved is about. This is what being one with all Reality - in the visible and invisible domains of creation - is about.

The Upanishad lists ten ascending levels of bliss before one reaches the Bliss of the Brahman, "and each level a hundredfold the intensity of the proceeding level".
One who bears witness to this revelation, can describe in great detail the types of Initiations one must 'receive' before one reaches this Kosmic address. This happens at the apex-point of Soul's journey through transcendent Light and Sound - and it's not for the faint of heart.

Sri Aurobindo's words on 'transcendent Bliss': "A transcendent Bliss, unimaginable and inexpressible by the mind and speech, is the nature of the Ineffable. That broods immanent and secret in the whole universe and in everything in the universe. Its presence is described as a secret ether of the bliss of being, of which the Scripture says that, if this were not, none could for a moment breathe and live. And this spiritual bliss is here also in our hearts. (skip)
Thus universalised, personalised, raised to its intensities, made all-occupying, all-embracing, all-fulfilling, the way of love and delight gives the supreme liberation. Its highest crest is a supracosmic union. But for love complete union is mukti; liberation has to it no other sense; and it includes all kinds of mukti together, nor are they in the end, as some would have the absolute union of the divine with the human spirit, sayujya; in that reveals itself a content and mutual presence, sampya, salokya, ananda of mutual reflection, the thing that we call likeness, sadrsya, and other wonderful things too for which language has yet no name."

Built on Great Ground of Knowledge

Everyone has the right to express their opinion, but not to their own facts, this is why I  check my results with others whose expanded consciousness arrived at same conclusions.

I think I can say that I have been testing day and night for years upon years more scrupulously than any scientist his theory or his method on the physical plane. That's why I am not alarmed by the aspect of the world around me or disconcerted by the often successful fury of the adverse Forces who increase in their rage as the Light comes nearer to the field of earth and Matter.  Sri Aurobindo

Shiva / Shakti Marriage - Om / Hrim

I learned via direct experience the significance of  Shiva / Shakti's  eternal embrace, which is the individual bodily representation of the Supreme Cosmic power -- a  power which creates and sustains the visible and invisible worlds / dimensions. 
Kundalini  Shakti   unites with  her Beloved Consort in the transcendent realm within one's body-mind-soul system, but before that takes place  many factors come into play on this journey without a map. . . A great many  encounters  with the  Divine Forces within ones innermost sanctuary in the vastness of the Supreme Existence  have to be experienced before one arrives  at Supramental state. 

In Aurobindo's verifying words:

"After realization of the Self, there are many things beyond that. The divine guide within urged me to proceed, adding experience after experience...Till I arrived at Supermind."

One of the most significant occurrences on this pathless path is the fact  that in advanced  Soul evolution  the deity Archetypes introduce themselves to ones consciousness in the subtle realm.
My mystical / encounter with Kwan Yin , and  my Initiation  (by Her)  was the most precious Gift!

 It also means -- in words of author Ken Wilber -- that at this point:

"The self is then no longer exclusively bound to the ego, but it is bound to its own Archetype. The point is that as each higher-order  structure emerges, the self eventually identifies with that structure -- which is normal, natural, appropriate." p. 237

"And thus the archetypes, the true archetypes, are the Forms of our own highest potential, the Forms of our own true nature, calling to us to remember who and what we really are. And in their last action, they are set aside and deconstructed -- the ladder that, having served its purpose, is discarded -- and there stands instead the radiant infinity that was always already shining through and beyond those Forms altogether." p. 359 - both quotes from The Eye of Spirit

 Real mystical experience  takes place within ones  "glorified body" --  which is the body and the intelligence which the awakened Soul has -- the part of ourselves which literally sees the uncreated Light of Creation.  The same Light that is  within the depth of every being. 

This is possible because in the subtle level, the Soul and God unite, at the causal level  the Soul and God are both transcended in the prior identity of  the Spirit / Pure Formless Consciousness -- no longer  (in) union  of God and Soul, but  in the state of  Ultimate Identity  with  the Godhead / Spirit / Supermind, plus Love-Bliss.

Or, as Aurobindo put it:   "Supermind is an eternal reality of the divine Being and the divine Nature."

Those who  don't recognize the importance the awakened Soul,  think  that this "sacred marriage", or "sacred sexuality" topic can be resolved/unpacked  with their  mental/cognitive intelligence, and therefore insists that sex with human partner means / is  the same thing as the transcendent  Shiva and Shakti's  erotic union   (24/7  mystical experience within ones body). The real Ultimate Consummation . . .Real Union eternal self-Soul with the Essence of the Absolute Supreme Being. 

There is a lot of confusion around the topic of so called  'sacred sexuality' circles,  because people  don't know / don't recognize that,  that  the awakened Soul experiences life outside of earthly time.
In the flesh,  the sex act has a beginning, middle and it ends.  Nothing permanent about that.
Calling something "transcendental",  when it's "not even close",  doesn't make it so / doesn't make it "the real deal",  just because he/she insists it is.
Sex gurus  are hugely misguided in this area, but alas, they are the ones whose words are taken as a something final.  They are welcome to do  and say what they want,  as long as they don't claim theirs is the last word!

And then there is me.....a big nobody who has the chutzpa to challenge them?
Not I!  but the Shakti-in-me!

Transcendental Bliss is the intellect-defying  God/dess / Divine Shakti / Awakened Soul, frequency vibration,  which has no beginning or end.
It can never "end" because once one gets plugged into the Celestial Flame of Love, one can't fall out of it! . . . .
Individual Enlightenment is for the sake of all beings! -- for the sake of evolution of consciousness itself. 
Simple, Pure, Hearts can't fall out of it!

Shakti and Shiva's bliss  frequency looks like the brightest, the most eye-dazzling diamond imaginable. This  Star-like diamond doesn't have a price tag. . .
Aurobindo  said that this 'diamond' energy "may indicate the Mother's Light at its intensest, for that is the diamond white light". 

As for its purpose? 

Transcendental Bliss-energy flows out of the Crown chakra into the world's hologram / subtle planes.

I blogged about personal  meta-mystical experiences with "triangles" and am glad to see  others verifying words on their spiritual  significance.  Some named it 'sacred geometry' , which are  first Forms of  unqualifiable Spirit.

"Within Indic lore, the shape is generally understood to consist of two triangles - one pointed up and the other down - locked in harmonious embrace. The two components are called 'Om' and the 'Hrim' in Sanskrit, and symbolizes man's position between earth and sky.
The downward triangle (*which appeared directly before/in my eye of contemplation in its silver-bright glory) symbolizes Shakti , the sacred embodiment of femininity, and the upward triangle symbolises Shiva, or Agni Tattva, representing the focused aspect of masculinity".

Also this (my) Yogic experience:  I noticed in night sky's canopy two stars -  witnessed their spiraling down motion. . .the closer they got to earth, the larger their silver bright glory. . .Next, their  now morphed Forms resting on my front garden / lawn in shape of two very large,  old fashioned looking,  ploughs.  I have been ploughing the Fields day and night ever since (mystically speaking). 

Brief reminder note: I  was Soul-directed to become energy healer in a  Yogic experience in  1993. My first meeting / interaction with my Master took place in the subtle . She tested me, by asking to "pick up" a small, shimmery-black stone in the shape of a square. I confidently picked it up and instantly felt  massive surge of energy lifting  me off the ground.  Two or three weeks later I singed up for the Workshop even though I had no idea what 'energy healing' was about.   The Workshop was exciting!   (Then) In my  first in-class practice session I spend most of my time streatched out on the massage table.  My Master was balancing my energy and  something very  interesting happened.  At some point  in  her soft (meditative) voice she instructed me  to stay still  - explained,  that a  "huge triangle came over us".  I came to that class with a back pain, went home without it. 

This is why the triangles  and the square -  which  many years later I saw in  Aurobindo's symbol - made me jump  with joy, because  I could instantly  See what that represents! 
The funny thing is, I discovered his work when my blog-writing was well on its way. I read short quotes  here and there (over the years), but  it was hard to me to get my head wrapped around his terminology. It was that, but  also that  he was a "spiritual giant".  Now more than ever I am glad I didn't know his work  prior to my Yogic and mystical experiences.  It  reassures me that my  subconscious mind didn't 'create' them in order to fulfill  some  egoic want.   

Mirra's (Sri Aurobindo's spiritual partner)  quote on 'glorified body' is interesting to me:

"When the physical body is thoroughly divinised, it will feel as if it were always walking on air, there will be no heaviness or tamas or unconscious-ness in it. There will be no end to its power of adaptability: whatever conditions it is placed it will immediately be equal to the demands made upon it (...) lasticity will enable it to stand the attack of every hostile force . . : (*yes!)
it will present no dull resistance to the  attack but  will be, on the contrary, so pliant as to nullify the force by giving way to it to pass off . . . (*yes! that's why Supracosmic Tonglen Duty works, but this process is much, more complicated then what Mirra presents, bec. the attacks come from living beings whose (vital) mind's parasites unleash their furry)
Lastly, it will be turned into the stuff of light each cell will radiate the supramental glory.
Not only those who are developed enough to have their subtle sight open but the ordinary man will be able to perceive this luminosity. It will be an evident fact to each and all, a permanent proof of the transformation which will convince even the most sceptical."

I think Mirra's vision was on the right track, but I question those last three sentences, since even I need a proper lighting to see my golden light aura -- which I discovered by fluke w/eyes open i.e. in 94' - also, next to the skin a finger-wide blue ribbon of light, I named my Heavenly Robe.
I think Mirra got  overly optimistic? 

Great Compassion - Gentle & Wrathful

This epoch's biggest  tyrants are dying off

The latest, on the word stage "Arab Spring" people movement, was started when critical mass of wrathful proportions galvanized people's sense of hope. It's not over their suffering, but one thing is for sure  once  people declare, "This is nuts!!! we suffer because our leader is a heartless, greedy bastard!!!! ???? "  Once this  realization is born in peoples' minds, it can't be pushed back - no matter what.

The world is on the edge of a New Dawn . . . .

Our deterministic sciences think theirs is the last word. . . Hearts and  minds numbed by 'hard sciences' is it any wonder so many believe that the 'good life' is measured by outer manifestations of of success - measured only in materialistic terms.

Today's  story on how Love's  energy rises to the occasion when the  opportunity presents itself:

Exactly one week ago I was at the grocery store . . . My back was turned, so I didn't hear or saw what transpired exactly, but was close enough to hear garbled word-scuffle.
Next, I noticed  a man walking  by me slowly muttering something angrily in a different language while  gesticulating angrily . . . .Our eyes met, I sensed he wanted to talk, so  I  asked:  "did someone say something rude to you?"
This  handsome middle age man with  neatly tied  pony tail   told me that  the  store employee  insulted him:  
 "He called me trash!",  then continued speaking in Aboriginal language  and arm-waving towards the door behind which the kid/summer help disappeared.  Later he told me  he spoke in his native (angry) "Thunderbird" voice.

My first response was to apologize "for all ignorant  white people", adding ""They don't represent my voice. There are many of us who respect your culture, your humanity" --  he jumped in and said, "respect the spirit, yes".
I suggested he speaks to the stores manager to report the incident. He waved his arm in a 'who cares, it won't change a thing anyway!' and asked  not to worry about him.

Still, moment later in mid-sentence the verbal attack's energy carried his steps towards the stores' back room door (behind which the young man disappeared)   while punching the air with his fist. 
When he returned to where I stood he appeared much calmer.

I reassured him not all white people were this ignorant. . . He agreed.  We talked some more.
He told me he longed to go back to Thunder Bay to be with his "spirit people".  Now with smiling face  he  began really looking at me. . Looking with  trusting eyes.
By then I sensed he was a homeless person. 
My giving attention to his pain and  my words 's intention was to reassure  him   that no one can take away his dignity.

We parted after goodly few minutes of  quality  time. . . His now relaxed body language and smiling gently face reassured me the ignorant punks words lost their hold on him, and we parted.

A bit later I finished my grocery shopping  and saw him  standing by the door... He  wanted to tell me something about the art  piece  (etching)  on a tall apartment building across the street -- he  explained  that the  picture of  the  Thunderbird  and sun's rays above his form was his People's Spirit  "who talked to people". He  was the messenger of the  of the Great Spirit / Sun.
Added  he was hopeful that  in few days he will be with his people in Thunder Bay.
He did say at this point that he was homeless.  When parting  our ways I wished him "best of luck!"

Moment  later,   he called out,   and once again  came up to speak to me - this time without a word he  took my right hand  and held it with both hands and head bowed down  for several   seconds, before 
uttering:   "Your Grandfather was very wise", then  walked away.

See what happened in this particular scenario?

Compassionate concern  gave something to this beautiful man, and the energy-consciousness of Great Compassion/Love  gave  something to me in  return.

I didn't know this man's name, he didn't know mine, but that didn't stop LOVE  from shining through us.
